友達のスコットランド人と日本VSパラグアイ見に、スポーツバー行ってきた。
最初のパラグアイ国歌が流れたあとに店内が拍手で溢れた時に
スコ人「なんで敵の国家斉唱で拍手してんの？」
自分 「お互いがんばろうっていう意味だと思うよ」
って言ったらひどく感激してた。
ヨーロッパじゃ敵の国歌斉唱の時にブーイングはあっても拍手なんてないって。
「日本人のそういう公平さが好きだ！」って言ってた。
結局日本はPKで負けて、みんな悔しがったり呆然としたりしてたんだけど、
そのうち大画面に映るパラグアイ代表に対して拍手が送られた。
そのあとは泣いている日本代表に向かって健闘を讃える拍手。
どちらにも拍手するっていうのにすごく驚いたらしく
「日本人はなんて素晴らしいんだろう！これこそ正しいスポーツの在り方だ！」
って褒めてくれたよ。
どこの国の人にも日本人のマナーの良さは褒められるから、誇らしいな。
そして自分もそうありたいって思う。 ”
